Fold properly

Crease gently And send it across the sea But even crumpled paper Floats. She is a paper boat Seconds from sinking But her paper crew Loves her too much To let her go. So I make it shore And I’m certain she will too. She is one of those people Fragile to the touch Aware of all her mess-ups But a smile that can stir your heart A mind so dangerously beautiful She’s art That breathes And believes More than I could ever see. Heading towards horizons Wherever the wind carries her And we’re all ready to follow her To the skies beyond. She is strong More than I Because she wades into the ocean Trusting something bigger than herself So while I thrash and call for help She’ll walk upon the surface Hand outstretched Ready to save Anyone she can In the open water. She will try more than her best She will spend one hundred and ten percent That even though she starts to sink into the waves Even when the lighthouse begins to fade From sight She becomes the light Outlasts the night Into the endless day
