At last the the lights are all strung up

At last the snowflakes fallen

At last the star sits top the tree

At last the, we're gone with pollen!

Come one, come all, the cold and weary

You're welcome in this humble abode,

Here's some hot chocolate, metaphorical cookies

Come rest your feet and lift your load

You're here, you're now, you're in the present

Worth more than any under the tree

So grab a blanket, by the fire

Rest your bones and go and read

Christmas time's around the corner

Go ahead and sing your songs

For everyone and every person

Has a place where they belong

And it's right here.
